In celebration of National Foster Care Month, please join Honoring Emancipated Youth (HEY) for a very special breakfast as we gather our community together to honor those who are making a positive change for current and former foster care youth. During HEY’s breakfast program:

  • Hear about the successes of this year’s Featured HEY Partner honorees and how each program is improving the outcomes for local foster youth

  • Meet the youth and young adults who were honored at HEY’s Foster Youth Leadership Awards Night as well as HEY’s 2008 Emancipated Youth Advocacy Board (EYAB)

  • Learn about the value of HEY’s advocacy in building opportunities for youth who “emancipate” or age out of the foster care system

  • Share in the experiences of HEY’s supporters, including current and former foster youth and service providers, and learn how your contribution will make a difference in the lives of local youth

REGISTRATION AT 7:30 AM

Honoring Emancipated Youth (HEY)

Honoring Emancipated Youth (HEY), a community project of the United Way of the Bay Area, is a San Francisco-based intermediary providing leadership to the Bay Area foster care community by convening and informing stakeholders of trends and best practices in order to raise public awareness and promote successful foster care policies. HEY’s mission is to strengthen and connect San Francisco’s systems of support for Bay Area foster care youth so that all youth emancipating, or “aging out” of the foster care system can enjoy a healthy transition to adulthood.
